Onboarding processes can be overwhelming and confusing for users, leading to frustration and increased dropout rates. Without a clear proposition value and introduction to the app's features, users can either struggle to kickstart their journey effectively or just abandon the process all at once.
Solution
By incorporating a clear value proposition into the onboarding process and simplifying the initial boat creation, users can more easily set up their profiles. As requested, the introduction of a guest access option allows users to start using the app without the pressure of mandatory account creation. Additionally, the ability to skip unnecessary tasks enhances flexibility, while a quick in-app task onboarding helps users become familiar with the app's features and functionalities. This comprehensive approach improves user retention and encourages greater engagement with the Ready4Sea platform.
